Musical Life

Music and song are essential ingredients in our life together!

Our inspiring Director of Music, Neil Georgeson, is always on the look out for singers and instrumentalists to enrich our worship on a Sunday morning. If you think thatmight be you, do come along to our 11.15am service and get a sense of what it involves.

From time to time we run a ‘pop-up’ choir - especially good for those who’d like to put a toe in the water but don’t necessarily see themselves as singers. The ‘pop-up’ comes together for special services eg Pentecost Sunday and rehearses just before the service begins.

Our charismatic singing leader, Nick Jenkins, recently ran a highly successful ‘Climate Choir’, bringing together members of the church and community to sing for earth justice. Keep an eye open if this interests you; we might well do it again.

At Christmas, our Carol Service Community Choir is now a well established and popular event for our community. Rehearsals are usually on 5 Sunday afternoons prior to the Carol Service and all are welcome.

Please be in touch if any of the above excites you; we’d love you to join us. And if you have other suggestions for bringing joy to the world through music, just let us know.
